What is a SAN?

A Storage Area Network (SAN) is a high-speed network storage system that combines multiple storage devices into one, making data accessible to multiple computers simultaneously. Unlike Network-Attached Storage (NAS), which can be accessed outside a local network, SANs are typically limited to local network access. SANs are known for their speed and are commonly used in business settings for efficient and shared data storage.

Why SAN?

Storage Area Networks offer centralized storage management, improved data security, and high-speed data access, enhancing data reliability and availability, along with simplified backup and disaster recovery processes, making them a preferred choice for large-scale data storage needs in enterprise environments.
